What is "Sprouting"?
SHILOH FARMS Organic Sprouted Breads are made from organic whole grains that have been allowed to sprout, or germinate, transforming them into living plants that are more easily digested. The sprouting process also activates beneficial enzymes and increases the bioavailability of valuable vitamins and minerals (such as Iron, Magnesium, and Potassium), while retaining the important natural fiber and bran of the whole grain. The result is a bread that is as filling and nutritious as it is delicious! Eating SHILOH FARMS Organic Sprouted Breads is a tasty, convenient way of incorporating sprouted grains into your regular diet.
Suggestions:
1. Keep bread frozen until ready to use. Before eating, allow bread to thaw at room temperature, or toast it to bring out even more great flavor.
2. Start your day with a slice of SHILOH FARMS sprouted grain bread toasted and topped with SHILOH FARMS Organic Cinnamon Apple Butter or SHILOH FARMS Raw Alfalfa Honey.
3. Make a hearty, healthy sandwich with your favorite fillings.
4. The hearty texture makes this an excellent option for french toast or bread pudding; or make breadcrumbs to give casseroles, meatloaf, and other savory dishes a nutrition boost.
5. Top with peanut butter and sliced apples for a quick and filling snack.

I used to love Shiloh Farms bread and I still believe it is a great company. However - the recipe is different and the dominant flavor of molasses detracts from the overall taste. Just my opinion.

This was my first time trying this kind of bread. I do like it. The only thing is that I will have to get used to the texture. Its consistency after chewing is unlike regular bread. I’ve only tried it toasted, directly out of the freezer. It’s something I will buy again for sure.

Am enjoying the high quality and crunchy bread with almost too much pleasure! But the best part is that my blood sugar does NOT go crazy!! Thank goodness, able to enjoy wonderful bread and not suffer for it!!

I've been eating this fabulous bread since the 70's, raised my children on it, recently it has sadly changed. It now looks, tastes and smells more like whole wheat bread, and is much dryer than it's original texture. I must order it through the mail which costs me with delivery charges nearly $8 a loaf because Whole Foods, just two blocks away is no longer willing to carry it. It is still the best bread out there and I am hoping they will go back to the original recipe
