Adzuki Rice

Adzuki Rice

1/2 cup Shiloh Farms ADZUKI BEANS
1 tsp. minced Onion
3 cups Water
1 cup Shiloh Farms Long Grain Brown Rice
1 Tbsp. Butter
Salt and Pepper to taste
Green Onions and or Chives for Garnish


Soak Adzuki beans and onion in 1 cup water for about 2 hours. Cook slowly in the same liquid for about 1 hour, until slightly tender.

Put rice in 2 cups cold water. Cover and bring to a boil.  Add beans and liquid from beans. Cover and cook over low heat for about 45 minutes or until rice is done.

Add butter and seasonings. Garnish with chopped green onion and /or green chives.
