Made from whole mung beans that have been hulled and split, the SHILOH FARMS Organic Mung Dal are a delicious source of nutrition! With a slightly sweet nutty flavor, these delicate yellow lentil-like legumes are high in dietary fiber and protein. An excellent choice for your plant-based diet!
Directions: Sort* & rinse. Soak for 1-4 hours. Rinse. Bring 4 cups water & 1 cup beans to boil, reduce, & simmer for 20 minutes, stirring frequently, adding more water as needed.
Suggestions:
1. Blend cooked Mung Dal into a fine paste to make a dumpling filler or batter.
2. Cook with basmati rice and vegetables to make the Ayurveda staple, Kitchari.
