SHILOH FARMS Fine Wheat Bran is an easy and convenient way of adding important dietary fiber (approximately 80% insoluble and 20% soluble) to your diet. Packed with nutrition, it is also a good source of protein, iron, and B Vitamins.
The multilayered outer coating of the whole wheat kernel, our bran has not been heated, steamed, cooked, or altered in any way. It is a byproduct of the milling process used to transform wheat into flour; as such, it is also frequently called Miller's Bran. Fine wheat bran consists of the finer particles sifted from the coarse wheat bran and typically contains a small amount of flour.
Soaking bran in warm water overnight at room temperature helps to deactivate phytates in the bran that may hinder absorption of minerals in the digestive tract.
Suggestions:
1. Replace 1/4 cup of flour with 1/4 cup coarse bran in breads, muffins, or other baked goods.
2. Add 1/4 cup bran to cooked cereals, soups, gravy, mashed potatoes, meatloaf, or casseroles.
3. Add to pancake, waffle, and brownie batters.

Been using this product for years adding it to cereal but mostly to protein shakes for extra insoluble fiber. Works great because it is not co course and goes down pretty smoothly.

I put it in my Hot Cereal as I cook it. It comes out creamy soft and tastes just great.

I have been taking several tablespoons of bran with a teaspoon of Metamucil(for flavor)for many years. I mix them in a glass of water and glug it down most mornings. The combo is inexpensive and keeps me regular. I used to grind coarse bran but your fine bran is much easier. Its a great product.
