Sorghum Pilaf

Sorghum Pilaf

1 c. uncooked SHILOH FARMS SORGHUM GRAIN
1 Tbsp. Olive oil
1 tsp. dried minced Onion
3 c. Vegetable or Chicken broth
1 tsp. dried Thyme
1/8 tsp ground White Pepper
1/4 c. Shiloh Farms Dried Cranberries
1/4 c. Shiloh Farms Raisins
2 Tbsp. fresh chopped Thyme
1/4 c. Shiloh Farms Sliced Almonds, toasted

Directions:
In heavy saucepan over medium heat, combine sorghum and olive oil. Stirring constantly, lightly toast grains for 2-3 min, or until lightly browned. Add broth, onions, thyme and pepper. Bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 45-60 min, or until liquid is absorbed and grain is tender.

Remove from heat. Stir in remaining ingredients (except almonds). Cover and let sit 5 minutes. Transfer to serving platter, garnish with almonds. Makes 6 half cup servings.
